H. Paramahamsa Nithyananda has been declared as the 293rd pontiff of Madurai Aadheenam, the world’s most ancient living Hindu religious organization.

Guru Maha Sannidhanam Srila Sri Arunagirinatha Sri Gnanasambanda Desika Paramacharya Swamigal, the 292nd pontiff of Madurai Aadheenam, declared H. H. Paramahamsa Nithyananda as his successor at a press meet held today in Nithyananda Dhyanapeetam’s international headquarters in Bidadi near Bangalore.

At the press meet, which was marked by a mood of celebration, the current pontiff read out the affidavit declaring that “We hereby declare, nominate, enthrone, coronate and appoint Paramahamsa Nithyananda… as 293rd Guru Maha Sannidhanam of Madurai Aadheenam, also called as TirugnanasambandaSwamigal Adheenam. We hereby coronate with the title His Holiness the 293rd Guru Maha Sannidhanam Srila Sri Paramahamsa Nithyananda Sri Gnanasambanda Desika Paramacharya Swamigal”.

The current pontiff declared H. H. Paramahamsa Nithyananda as “my lawful successor, descendant and inheritor of Madurai Adheenam,TirugnanasambandaSwamigal Adheenam, having all the powers, duties, obligations, ritual and customary rights that is being performed, enjoyed, vested in the Madurai Aadheenam.” He also declared H. H. Paramahamsa Nithyananda as “my lawful successor to deal with all the movable and immovable properties of the TirugnanasambandaSwamigal Adheenam”, which includes over 1250 acres of land, several temples and properties owned by the Aadheenam in India and abroad.

The legendary Madurai Aadheenam has existed since time immemorial. However, it was revived around 1500 years ago by the young enlightened incarnation Tirujnana Sambandar, one of the four visionary saints of South Indian Shaiva Siddhanta philosophy. The Aadheenam is established in Madurai, one of the oldest cities of India with a history dating all the way back to Tamil Sangam period. The presiding deities of Madurai are Shiva and Devi in their incarnations as Chokkanathar and Meenakshi, enshrined in the world-famous Madurai Meenakshi-Sundareshwara temple.

According to the rules and regulations of the Madurai Aadheenam, only hereditary Saiva Vellalars (the religious community to which H. H. Paramahamsa Nithyananda belongs)are selected as the pontiffs of this ancient and premier religious institution.

The pontiff of the Madurai Aadheenam is known by the title ‘Guru Maha Sannidhanam’ and inherits great responsibility in carrying forward the traditions of Tirujnana Sambandar’s sacred work. The spiritual services offered by Madurai Aadheenam are well-known throughout India.

According to Shaiva Siddhanta philosophy, everything is preordained according to the judgment of Lord Shiva. Referring to H. H. Paramahamsa Nithyananda as ‘a noble gift of Lord Shiva’ and ‘the avatar of saint Tirujnana Sambandhar’, the current pontiff declared H.H. Nithyananda as the ambassador to the Almighty, appointed by the eternal Government of Lord Shiva.

There is no tenure for this position and it is a lifetime honor.

Accepting the sacred honor, H. H. Paramahamsa Nithyananda said, “With all humbleness for divine grace I hereby declare that I accept the responsibility given to me… as the 293rd Guru Maha Sannidhanam of Madurai Aadheenam… I vow, keeping Chokkanathar and Meenakshi and Jnanasambandhar as witness, we will fulfil all the responsibilities of Madurai Aadheenam, making the Shaiva tradition revived and celebrated all over the world… I also commit to Madurai Aadheenam Guru Maha Sannidhanam… that we will make Madurai Aadheenamas an international religious organization.”

H. H. Paramahamsa Nithyananda made an offering of Rs. 1 crore towards Madurai Aadheenam’s spiritual activities. He offered his respects to the current pontiff by gifting him a golden throne, crown and scepter (holy staff). H. H. Paramahamsa Nithyananda also announced the upcoming kumbhabhishekam of the all temples belonging to the Madurai Aaadheenam, and inaugurated the daily annadaanam (free food for all) at Madurai Aadheenam, starting today.

The eN-Vidyalaya team in Singapore organised the first parenting-cum-eN-Vidyalaya workshop with a theme “Buddha & Bill Gates: Awaken Your Child’s Inner & Outer Potential” for parents and children (age 4-14 yo) on Saturday, 14 Apr from 2.30 – 5.30pm.

A total of 12 kids and 14 parents attended this event. The event started with Ma Nithyasree welcoming everyone and she introduced briefly the flow of programme. Then Ma Siew Yong gathered the crowd in a circle to playy a fun Ice-breaker game so as to get everyone to introduce themselves. Once the group was warmed up, she led the group into a Partner Yoga session which encouraged awareness and care for partner. This was a great bonding time for parents and their children as the hall was filled with laughters. After the Parnter yoga, we had a break-up with different sessions for children and parents.

In the hall, the parents participated in a Webinar led by Ma Advaith from Bidadi on enParenting. They listened in rapt attention as Ma Advait explained about the possibilities that exist in our childrens worlds, and how social and parental conditioning severely limit our childrens potentials. Many of them were nodding their heads in agreements, and some of the participants even had tears in their eyes as they understood how our own ignorance and lifestyles was responsible for the problems we see in our children nowadays. There was a Q and A session, where many parents asked questions ranging from how to break patterns of giving up in children, shared their challenges on how to deal with teenage children and more.

The session ended withan understanding on enVidyalaya and the need to have a social setting in which the community can support each in instilling the spiritual quotient in children, and understanding enGenius, where the presence of an avatar opens up the infinite genius that is already within our children. In another room, the children had a fun time learning about “Worry” topic and the group talked about the worries and Ma Siew Yong shared the life solutions to go beyond worries. The children did an art activity on their worries and a few other activities where they were made to write down their worries and put in a “worry” jar so that they did not have to worry anymore.

Next, the children were in such joy by bursting of worries using balloons and bubbles. Before the session ended, we had Vishnu & Krishna, 2 eN-Vidyalaya children to share their experiences on how eN-Vidyalaya had helped them in their life. The parents were impressed!

The Stanford Delayed Gratification or Marshmallow test is a proven indicator of success in later years (Conducted in 1972 by psychologist Walter Mischel, Stanford). It is said that when an enlightened being enters a sacred space, the whole Cosmos rejoices, because a confluence of two great spiritual energies is happening. To be part of such a rare confluence is a blessing indeed!

The most famous are the Temple of Angkor Wat and, at Angkor Thom, the Bayon Temple with its countless sculptural decorations. The temples of Angkor are highly symbolic structures. The foremost Hindu concept is the temple-mountain, where the temple is built as a representation of the mythical Mount Meru: this is why so many temples, including Angkor Wat itself, are surrounded by moats, built in a mountain-like pyramidal shape and topped by precisely five towers, representing the five peaks of Mount Meru. While early Angkor temples were built as Hindu temples, King Jayavarman VII converted to Mahayana Buddhism c. 1200 and embarked on a prodigious building spree, building the new capital city of Angkor Thom including Bayon, TaProhm, Preah Khan and many more as Buddhist structures.

Bali is a pocket of Hindu religion and culture. Every aspect of Balinese life is suffused with religion, but the most visible signs are the tiny offerings (canangsari) found in every Balinese house, work place, restaurant, souvenir stall and airport check-in desk. Temples in Bali: Besakih Temple (Mother Temple), Ulun Danu, Tanah Lot Temple, Pura Luhur Temple, Pura Tirta Empul and Taman Ayun Temple.

Built in 1782 – and for 150 years the home of the Thai King, the Royal court and the administrative seat of government – the Grand Palace of Bangkok is is indeed continues to have visitors in awe with its beautiful architecture and intricate detail, all of which is a proud salute to the creativity and craftsmanship of Thai people. Within its walls were also the Thai war ministry, state departments, and even the mint. Today, the complex remains the spiritual heart of the Thai Kingdom.

The largest standing Lord Murugan statue in the world. Wooping 272-steps leading to the top of the cave. It is the largest gathering of people in Malaysia during Thaipusam celebration (more than a million people). KLCC which is one of the world’s tallest man-made structure and it offers a breathtaking view of sky bridge located on the 42nd floor .

Paramahamsa Nithyananda has unraveled ancient, mystical techniques combining various aspects of Yoga, including breathing techniques, postures, chants etc. for the care and cure of various physical and mental illnesses. These unique offerings by Swamiji, called Nithya Kriyas, have been medically shown to significantly aid people in healing from those disorders.

Recent camps for Diabetes Cure that were organised in various parts of the world, including Toronto and India, showed a remarkable average drop of about 15-20% in sugar levels within 10 days of people practicing the Kriya.

In Singapore, for the first time, we bring to you Nithya Kriya for Diabetes Cure. We are organizing a 21 Days Camp where we will be guiding people through the Kriya. This is a pilot project and has limited slots, on a first-come-first-serve basis. Please find details below and register at the earliest if you think this could benefit you or any of your near and dear ones.

Day 1 : Diabetes Kriya Camp and some photos as a slide show.

On April 1st, we launched the first Diabetes Kriya Camp in Singapore with 12 participants, 9 of whom are under medication for diabetes. The camp started off with Swamiji giving blessings to the participants on Nayana Deeksha, where many of the participants got darshan of the Avatar for the first time.

After the registration process, the doctors team took various readings – blood sugar, blood pressure, BMI etc. and got the participants to fill out some medical questionnaires. We then screened Swamiji’s discourse on “Introduction to Nithya Kriyas”, followed by the initiation into the Nithya Kriya for Diabetes Cure.

The participants have signed up for practicing this Kriya for the next 21 days continuously and we will be closely monitoring the progress of the participants.
